The inventor of linear perspective was Brunelleschi. He was credited with the invention, sometime in the 1400's. One point perspective is creating a piece of art work from only one view, drawing exactly what you can see and what you cannot. I first sketched an ocean scene with a pier jetting out and a roof over on part of it. The further towards the middle you look the smaller things get because its supposed to be like your looking far away. After the sketch was complete I added water color and attempted to water color a sunset.
